Araluen Park Cottages Lakes Entrance

Set on the fringe of East Gippsland’s lowland forests, Araluen Park Cottages boasts a unique setting amongst some of Victoria’s most beautiful countryside. Adjacent to the Colquhoun State Forest, you can enjoy the tranquillity of sustainable accommodation whilst being only minutes from the coastal town of Lakes Entrance and the vast Gippsland Lakes. Each secluded fully self-contained cottage enjoys views of the native flora and fauna found in the rainforest gullies extending throughout the property (of over 40 acres).

Every cottage has been constructed and furnished so to minimise your environmental footprint without compromise to the comforts of country living. With finely restored antique furniture, ornate plaster finishes and original handcrafted lead-light window features, the cottages offer their visitors the opportunity to enjoy a sanctuary amongst nature. Whether you’re looking for a weekend-getaway, or a more lengthy escape to explore the Lakes Entrance local area, make Araluen Park Cottages your Lakes Entrance accommodation destination.

Indulge in our farm fresh eggs together with bacon, a selection of cereals and toast, all included in a country breakfast for each morning of your stay. We can also advise on the variety of fine dining establishments in the Lakes Entrance area to suit what ever your tastes.

Whilst having a focus on sustainability, we did not want to compromise on lifestyle, appreciating that our guests should expect the normal comforts afforded to country style accommodation. Accordingly, the cottages have been built to a period style, reflecting individuality and privacy.
We both share an interest in building, furniture and vintage and antique items. Incorporation of restored mantle pieces and other items of furniture are common throughout the cottages. The leadlighting throughout the cottages are all our own works.

The revegetation of the native vegetation around the cottages has commenced, and the improved habitat has seen an increase in the native flora and fauna in the area. The rainforest gullies have started to attract some of the unique creatures only found around such vegetation.
